The index uses base date of February 1, 1999 and a base value of 1000. The index consists of all Public Sector Undertaking (PSUs) companies in BSE-500 index. BSE PSU Index shows change in the wealth of Indian Central Government in PSUs.

Companies in which Indian Central Government has greater than or equal to 51% stake that are listed in BSE and are part of BSE-500 Index.
